Last week we spent five days in Lake Country, BC. The view from our place was gorgeous! I spent a lot of time in this chair reading.
It was a short walk to the beach, a secluded little spot we shared with the locals.
There were more than a few epic family card games. The boys are not so easy to beat these days!
The organic U-Pick Farms were a hit! To my surprise, we ate 10 pounds of blueberries in two days, and had to go back for more. Yum!
There were more water adventures…and the boys found an apricot tree on the beach.
The Wibit waterpark in Kelowna was a dream for the kids and a nightmare for the adults who had to follow them around! We also walked through a farmers market and the boys had their faces painted. Winston rocked the Ogopogo face. Unfortunately, the black paint didn’t come off so well and he spent the rest of the trip looking more like a ‘lost boy’ from Peter Pan.
The Enchanted Forest was a welcome pitstop on the drive home. The beauty of God’s creation, along with a spattering of mystical creatures, gave it an otherworldly feel. You can’t tell from these pictures, but the forest was truly magnificent!
